Privacy policy

The controller of the data is RetroDreams, with a shop at Passeio das Ilhas, nº 3, Loja A, 2670-322 Loures.

Repair request: name, email, phone (optional), the machine and the fault and, if you choose shipping, the return address. They are used to carry out the repair, send you the quote and return the machine.

Shop reservation: name, email, phone (optional) and your message, so that we can arrange payment and delivery with you.

Sale, trade-in or donation offer: name, email, phone (optional) and a description of the machine, so we can reply with an offer or arrange the handover.

Training registration: name, email, phone (optional), number of participants and your message, to manage the registration.

Waiting list and notices of new dates: only the email and the model or the type of training, with your consent, so that we can let you know.

Machine registry: name or nickname, email, the machine, its story, the photo and, if you give it, the serial number. We only publish the name or nickname, the machine, the story and the photo, and only after checking them; the email and serial number are never public.

We do not ask for data we do not need, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or pass on data to anyone for advertising.

Repair requests, reservations, offers and registrations: the pre-contractual steps and the performance of the contract you ask us for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Waiting list and notices: your consent (point (a)), which you can withdraw whenever you want.

Invoicing: compliance with legal obligations (point (c)).

Machine registry: your consent (point (a)), which you can withdraw at any time by deleting the entry.

Repairs and reservations: while the request is in progress and for up to 3 years after it is completed, so that we can answer warranty questions.

Sale, trade-in or donation offers that don't lead to a deal: 1 year.

Waiting list: until you cancel or until we notify you. The cancellation link deletes the email immediately.

Machine registry: for as long as the entry is published. The link you receive when registering deletes it immediately, together with the photo.

Invoicing documents: for the period required by tax law.

Only the companies that provide the services the site needs in order to work (server hosting and email sending), which process the data on our behalf and according to our instructions.

If you send us the machine, the courier receives the data needed for delivery.

The site uses one functional cookie, rd-lingua, which remembers the language you chose for a year, and the management area, reserved for the team, uses a session cookie. They are needed for the site to work, so they don't require consent.

Only if you accept, we use Google Analytics 4, from Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, which last up to two years, and sends Google the page address, the type of browser and device and an approximate location. We don't allow this data to be used for advertising. Google may process it outside the European Union, including in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Without your consent, the Google script isn't even loaded. You can change your mind at any time under “Cookie preferences”, at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Your choice is stored in your own browser (rd-cookies), not in a cookie.

The videos on the demoscene page come from YouTube. They don't load on their own: only when you press play does your browser contact YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), and from then on Google's privacy rules apply.

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing. Write to hello@retrodreams.eu: we reply within one month at most.

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.

The database is not exposed to the internet, the connection to the site is encrypted and only the shop team has access to it, each person with their own password.

If this policy changes, the update date at the top of the page changes too.
